This came up in the sermon today, and it was so fitting. This is precisely what God did for me! i cried tears of joy at the salvation of our great God..
1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, {or a slimy pit, in some versions}
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the LORD.
Hallelujah! He is so amazingly good! He confirms His work with His Word!
That was a great sermon - I haven't been able to get into the service for awhile. I loved his point about "Which Jesus do you want?"
